Eunice B. Hardy

January 29, 1913 — April 20, 2008

Eunice B. Hardy, native Atlantan, passed away peacefully at Rosemont Nursing Home on April 20, 2008. She had retired from Dunn & Bradstreet in 1978. Her ninety-five years were marked by especially diverse interests and competences. She had a lifelong passion for classical music, especially opera, the performance and accompaniment of which she studied early in life.  She read voraciously (the more daunting and massive the book, the better). She loved to travel. She had a fascination for languages, writing and speaking Italian, French, even some Japanese and Hebrew (taken up in her ninth decade of life). She is survived by her sister, Gloria H. Moss, niece Ellen Moss Forbes, and a cascade of kin. Visitation will be 6-8 PM on Friday, April 25 at A.S. Turner & Sons. Following private interment, a memorial service and informal reception will be held at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church at 5140 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain, at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 26. Friends and family are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Music Fund of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church or to Friends of Disabled Adults and Children, 4900 Lewis Rd., Stone Mountain 30083.
