Eurycles Anders

Decatur resident, Eurycles "Andy" Anders died at his home on Monday, January 2, 2012 at the age of 83. Eurycles Bastos Anders was born in Curitiba - Paraná, Brasil on February 2, 1928 to parents Rodolpho Koeller Anders and Elvira Oberg Bastos.
He is survived by his son, Robert Anders in Charleston, his daughter Sonia Anders and grandsons Christian and Nicolas in Denver, and his daughter Claudia Timko and grandchildren Isabella and Vincent in Stone Mountain. He is also survived by his former wife, Vania Barreto Mayer.
Andy graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Electrical Engineering. That led to a career at General Electric and Simons-Eastern designing large-scale electrical plans for facilities throughout the world.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church located at 5801 Hugh Howell Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30087.
