Mrs. Mary Evelyn Harrison Kilpatrick, 85, of Tucker, GA and a longtime resident of the Atlanta area, passed away January 17, 2005. She was born September 13, 1919 in Knoxville, TN, the daughter of the late Mr. James Madison Harrison and the late Mrs. Lillian Lyon Harrison. A 1937 graduate of Knoxville High School, she attended the University of Tennessee, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta chapter of Sigma Kappa sorority. Mrs. Kilpatrick was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and belonged to the Georgia Wilder Circle and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Mr. William W. Kilpatrick of Tucker; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Marguerite Kilpatrick of Powder Springs, GA; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and David Stickland of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Jennifer Watson and her husband Paul, Jeff and Jim Strickland; and two great grandchildren, Abby and Natalie Watson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with Dr. H. Dan Rice and Rev. Louis Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
