Evelyn Kite Whitaker

Mrs. Evelyn Kite Whitaker, age 100, a life time resident of Atlanta, died Monday, July 9, 2007. She was a member of the Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church. Mrs. Whitaker was preceded in death by her husband, William Reid Whitaker, Sr.  She is survived by her son, William Reid Whitaker, Jr. of Buckhead; and two grandchildren, W. Langley Whitaker and his wife, Isabel of New York City, and Clair Whitaker Johnson and her husband Andrew of Roswell. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at   Hillview Cemetery in LaGrange, Edith E. Whitaker officiating.  In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to Children's Ministries of the Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, 2115 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30305.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at Kings Bridge Retirement Center with Rev.
