Everett (Rhett) H. Dudley, III, 55 of Stockbridge, GA, formerly of Orlando, FL., passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2009, as a result of injuries sustained from a bicycle accident on June 1, 2009. Born in Portland, ME, Rhett spent his youth in Miami Springs, FL., where he attended Miami County Day Academy and Miami Military Academy, and graduated from Howey Academy in central Florida. He continued his education at Florida State University where he pursued a degree in business. Over the years he was employed in management with Scottys Home Improvement, Microtel Communications, and J & P Transportation/Spacelite Division as VP of Sales. Upon retirement, he moved with his wife, Helenmary, to Heidelberg, Germany, where they lived for six years until their recent relocation to Georgia. He was an avid radio control pilot for forty years and belonged to a number of RC organizations. Rhett was known and loved for his social nature and will be missed by many. He was predeceased by his father, Judge Everett H. Dudley, Jr. of Boca Raton, FL.; and his nephew, Rick Everett Dudley of Miami, FL. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Helenmary; step-daughters, Krista Dickson of Utica, NY, Brandi Weitman, her husband Rusty, and their daughter Morgan of Lake City, FL; mother, Joyce P. Dudley of Boca Raton, FL; sister, Lisa D. Rentz and her husband Larry of Coconut Grove, FL; uncle, Charles F. Dudley and his partner Dr. Richard Barr of Provincetown, MA; and aunts, Marcia D. Bellermann of Fitchburg, MA and Jane A. Dudley of Boca Raton, FL. Rhett’s final wishes excluded services.
