Evie Ruth Brooks

Evie Ruth Brooks, 85, of Lilburn passed away on Friday December 28, 2012. A native of Gibson, GA she was the daughter of the late James and Leslie Mae Rooks McTier. She had lived in Lilburn for the last 28 years and was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class at Briarlake Baptist Church where she attended for over 40 years. She enjoyed gardening and loved to sew. Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband, Cecil Brooks; children, Kenneth (Linda) Brooks, Gary (Pam) Brooks, Janet Brooks and Jeff (Debbie) Brooks. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kyle Brooks, Daniel Brooks, Wesley Brooks, Mac Brooks, Reed Brooks and Cooper Brooks. Funeral services for Mrs. Brooks will be held at 2:00 pm Monday December 31 at the chapel of A. S. Turner with Dr. Frank Crumpler officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday Dec. 31 from noon to 2:00 pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory
