Fannie Vaughn George

Mrs. Fannie George, age 92, of Avondale Estates, GA, born September 22, 1915, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2008. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and a former member of North Clarendon Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Orlee George; son, Leonard, and daughters, Shirley and Elizabeth.  Mrs. George is survived by her sons, Edward L. George and wife Norma of Stone Mountain, GA, Joe George and wife Eileen of Lawrenceville, GA, Freddie L. George and wife Patricia of Avondale Estates, GA; brothers, Cecil and Whalen Vaughn of Ohio; sister, Syble Lonsway of Ohio; grandchildren, Shirley Rusk, Eddie George, David George, Pam Brewer, Cindy Bramlett, and Angie Fowler; great grandchildren, Jennifer Rusk, Michael Brewer, Daniel Brewer, Kathy Rusk, Brad Bramlett, Scott and Keith Fowler and Kaylee and Tyler George; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 28th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Tim Owens and Rev. Eric Cranston officiating.  Interment Melwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Saturday and Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
