Faye Brewer Quade

Faye Brewer Quade, age 88, of Atlanta, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Gregory, and husband, Edward C. Quade. Survivors include daughter, Carole (Jim) Enright of Lawrenceville, GA, son-in-law, Peter Gregory of Chattanooga, TN. She also leaves behind three grown grandchildren; Emily, Charlie (Arya), and Sarah, one great granddaughter; Aliya, sister; Idell of Eton, GA, several nieces and nephews also survive. She was born in Eton, GA, and graduated from Murray County High School. She moved to Atlanta to attend business school and worked for the Burroughs Corporation until her marriage. She also worked on the 1970 and 1980 census as a para-pro at the DFUMC preschool for many years. She was a long time member of the Knox-Peabody Sunday school class. Faye participated in the United Methodist Women; she also volunteered with all ages of children, and took leadership roles on endless church committees. She volunteered in her children’s PTA and classrooms, as well as active in her neighborhood garden club. She was an avid reader, and a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:30pm, Friday, Nov. 15, 2018 at Decatur First United Methodist Church, Rev. Dalton Rushing is officiating. The burial will be private. Those desiring, may send donations to Decatur First United Methodist Church, 300 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Decatur, GA 30030
