Faye Hicks Farmer

Faye Hicks Farmer, age 86, of Conyers, Ga., died October 27, 2011. Faye, daughter of Lura Jane McSpadden and James Josiah Hicks was born April 30, 1925, in Henagar, Al. She was a registered nurse and worked in surgery and emergency room care in Chattanooga, Tn., Louisville, Ky., and Decatur, Ga. Faye was a faithful member of The Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Sherri Nichols of Orlando, Fl., and Linda and Dan Sloss of Elizabethtown, Ky.; four grandchildren, Alex Nichols, Katie Nichols, Drew Sloss, and Lindsay Culbreath; three great grandchildren, Tanner Sloss, Avett Sloss, and Jaxen Culbreath; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Mike C. Farmer, Jr., her eight sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Burial services will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens on Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, Ga. The family will receive friends Friday, October 28, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 2773 North Decatur Rd., Decatur, Ga.
