Fern Morton Williams

Fern E. Morton Williams was born July 7, 1912.  She is the daughter of Richard Wilson Morton and Cora Agnes Hamilton. Fern graduated from Monmouth College in 1936.  She moved to Atlanta in 1945 and married Lonnie A. Williams (1918-1988) on June 7, 1951.  They settled in Decatur where Fern worked as Financial Secretary for the Decatur Presbyterian Church.  Fern died at the age of 97 on Jan. 18, 2010, after a short illness.  A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 3:00PM in the chapel of the Decatur Presbyterian Church at 205 Sycamore Street.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Saturday night at A.S. Turner & Sons. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Decatur Presbyterian Church.
