Ferry W. Rhodes

Mr. Ferry W. Rhodes, 57, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, died November 17, 2008, after a short battle with cancer. Born in Savannah, he was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Rhodes. A graduate of Stone Mountain High School and the University of Georgia, he was President of George A. Teck Machine Tool Company. An avid golfer, he was a member of Northwood Country Club. Mr. Rhodes is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cynthia T. Rhodes; his son, Ryan w. Rhodes; and his sister-in-law, Barbara F. Teck. Also surviving are his brother, Jack Rhodes and wife Barrie of Decatur; and his sisters, Jane D. Rhodes of Stone Mountain and Robin Rhodes of Avondale Estates. The family will receive visitors at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home from 6 till 8 PM on Wednesday, November 19. There will be a graveside service in the Stone Mountain City Cemetery Thursday, November 20, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in his memory to the United Methodist Children's Home, 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30030.
