Flora Griffith Mcgowan

Flora Griffith McGowan (nee Gaines), 92, passed away on November 17, 2004 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.  A native of Georgia, she graduated from Decatur High School, was employed by First National Bank of Atlanta and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Decatur.  Flora lived in Springfield, Illinois for thirty-six years; then moved to Florida in 2000 to be near her daughter and family.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wylie and Jane Sanders; three grandchildren, Wayne (Kimberly) Sanders, Stanley Sanders and Suzanne (Bill) Inman; great-grandchildren and a sister, Esther Bailey of Atlanta.  Visitation will be Monday, November 22, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at Decatur Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., George Houston will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407 or a charity of your choice.  A.
