Florence Stallings Brown

Florence Stallings Brown, 79, a life-long resident of Atlanta died Monday, November 28, 2005. She was born May 23, 1926 to Walter Thomas and Adelaide Barry Stallings. Florence grew up in Grant Park and graduated from Commercial High School. In 1946 she married Edward H. Brown, Sr.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, and a devout Protestant. She is survived by her husband of 59 years; daughter, Jan Brown Moses, Trenton, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law, Edward H. Brown, Jr. and Lianne LaCoss, Decatur, Walter Thomas (Tom) and Radika Brown, Atlanta, Joseph Powell and Donna Brown, Auburn, Alabama; grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew and Mark Moses, Tanya, Ryan, Scott, Amanda and Jared Brown; and great-grandchildren, Nicole and Kylie Moses. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 2 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Reece Fauscett officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 1 at A. S. Turner & Sons.
