Floyd Joseph Linkous

October 12, 1922 — September 28, 2014

Mr. Floyd Joseph Linkous, 91, of Atlanta died Sunday, September 28, 2014. Mr. Linkous graduated from Georgia Tech and served in both the US Army Air Corp and US Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. Known to his family and friends as Joe, Mr. Linkous made a full life serving God as a husband, father, entrepreneur, businessman, real estate developer and problem solver. He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Juanita Linkous; son, Joe Linkous, Jr. of Lilburn, GA; daughter, Estelle Froehbrodt of Lawrenceville, GA; son, Jeff Linkous of Jesup, GA; son, Mark Linkous of West Monroe, LA; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons, Decatur, GA. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends and family on Thursday beginning at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tucker Christian Church or American Kidney Services. A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
