Mr. Francis Conrad (Bud) Manbeck, Sr., 90, of Decatur, died Saturday, May 16, 2009. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army. Mr. Manbeck was a longtime active member of First Missionary Alliance Christian Church. He retired from the Veteran’s Administration and as a testimony of his faith he led more that 200 people to Christ. Mr. Manbeck is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Marion Ekey Manbeck. Surviving Mr. Manbeck are his daughters, Christine Manbeck of Marietta, Martha Lane of Birmingham, AL, Barbara Richards of Ft. Mill, SC; son, F. C. “Bud” Manbeck, Jr. of Alpharetta; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19th at 2:00 P.M. at First Alliance Church of Atlanta with Rev. Kevin Goins officiating. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church. A. S. Turner & Sons.
