Frances Elizabeth Zubay

Frances Elizabeth (Suzy) Zubay, 96, of Decatur, Georgia died Saturday December 14, 2013. She was born June 30, 1917 to the late William and Mallie Hunt Kueker of St. Joseph, Missouri. Suzy was a kindergarten teacher devoted to making a difference in the lives of her students. In addition to having taught, she was an avid reader, weaver, painter, writer and interesting cook. Her creativity, curiosity, and love of learning were abundant and inspired so many around her. She dared to be different and encouraged others to never stop pursuing new adventures. Suzy was a member of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church, Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Eli Zubay and daughter Mary Zubay Tracht. She is survived by sons Alan H. Zubay (Gregg Anne), Dawsonville, GA., Peter K. Zubay (Sue), Cameron, N.C., son-in-law Arthur Tracht (Dale) Henderson, NV, grandchildren Wimberly Zubay Dayton, Alan Zubay Jr., Michael Tracht, David Tracht, their spouses, and nine great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Salvation Army or your local Humane Society. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home, Decatur, GA
