Frances Ford Young

Frances Ford Young, 94, of Atlanta, beloved wife and mother, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017. Born March 3, 1923, in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late James William and Ruth Reeves Ford. Frances enjoyed interior decorating, time at the beach, visiting Walt Disney World, and playing cards.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Allyson Arbuthnot and her husband, Gordon; three granddaughters, Mary Brady, Beth Ray, and Sarah Brun; grandson, James Arbuthnot; and many more loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Arthur Carlisle Young; and her son, Christopher Carlisle Young.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at A.S. Turner & Sons with a graveside service to follow at 12 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, 2000 Marietta Boulevard, NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
