Frances Inez Tate

Frances I. Tate, or Memaw to her children and grandchildren, passed away at 87 on Tuesday March 19th, 2024 at Dekalb Medical Center. She was born on January 13th, 1937 to the late Homer McCallister and Bertha McCallister. She married Jimmy Tate and went on to have two daughters, Pamela Jeanne Reed and Patricia Gail Gabbard,

Frances had many jobs, but most of all was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to talk to and meet new people. She would talk to you all day if she could. She loved to play bingo but would mostly give her winnings away to others in her community. She also loved going to church and listening to the gospel choir.

Frances is survived by her daughters Pamela Reed and Patricia Gabbard (Earl), grandsons' Christopher Wilson & Jeremy Reed, great granddaughter Avery Wilson, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Harrell Grove Baptist Cemetery on Monday, April 1st, 2024 at 12 Noon.
