Frances J Lawler

Frances (Jeannie) Lawler, 96, of Stone Mountain, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021.  She was born in Elba, AL to the late Joseph Clayton Gannon and Mamie Strickland Gannon..  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.  Until her retirement at age 75, she was a Ward Secretary at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, her daughter (Patricia Gallow Pate), a brother, sister, and a nephew.  She is survived by one brother (Bob Gannon), a daughter (Norma Gallow, Stone Mountain), a son (Tom Gallow, Huntsville, AL), eight grandchildren, and numerous great- and great-great grandchildren.

The family will celebrate her life in early 2022.

Jeannie loved books and in younger years was a reading tutor.  Memorial donations may be made to Reach Out and Read (www.reachoutandread.org), Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org), or the charity of your choice.
