Frances Joan Mcelroy

Mrs. Frances King McElroy, 84, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at her home in Tucker. The daughter of Frank and Mary King of East Atlanta, Frances attended Girls High and Murphy High in Atlanta before attending the University of Georgia, which is where she met her future husband, William N. McElroy. After being married at Moreland Avenue Baptist in Atlanta, the couple was married 36 years before Bill's passing in 1987. They raised their family in Decatur and were faithful members at Glenwood Hills Baptist Church. They then moved to Tucker in 1978. She has been a member at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker for over 20 years. Mrs. McElroy is survived by all 3 of her children, Steve McElroy of Loganville and wife Kim, Sue McElroy Matricia of Fernandina Beach, FL, and husband Dan, and Stan McElroy of Tucker, and wife Kathy Lee, her sister, Martha King Evans of Ocala, FL, and grandchildren Michelle McElroy, Mallory McElroy, Logan McElroy, Lacey McElroy, Christopher Matricia, and Elizabeth Matricia.
