Frances Jones Lowery

Frances Jones Lowery, 87, of Lilburn, GA passed away August 18, 2011. Frances was born December 20, 1923 in Walton County, GA to Sam and Gertie Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, J. C. Lowery. She is survived by her children, Charlotte Davenport and husband Jim, Ken Lowery and wife Carol, and Randy Lowery and wife Holly. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Keven Davenport and wife Amy, Scott Lowery and wife Kristie, Matt Lowery and wife Tammy, Jake Lowery and wife Ashley, Bridget Ladyman and husband Bo; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Davenport, Mason Davenport, Mitch Lowery, Owen Lowery, Charlie Lowery, Will Lowery, and Rachel Lowery; brothers, Lamar Jones and James Jones; sisters, Hazel Brooks, Joyce Cooper and Virginia Wages; and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Frances was an active member of Pine Lake Baptist Church for 60 years. She was an avid quilter, supplying all of her descendants with an ample supply of her beautiful handiwork. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2011 in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Keith Pisani officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made in her memory to Pine Lake Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 to 8 pm at A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur.
