Mrs. Frances Keener Creech, 95, of Atlanta, died Thursday, April 16, 2009. A native of Knoxville, TN, she was born to Frank E. and Lucile Doyle Keener, May 3, 1913. Frances retired from Coca-Cola, USA, and worked as a volunteer at Georgia Baptist Medical Center for 11 years. She also volunteered in the library at the First Baptist Church of Decatur and was a longtime member of the Dunston Sunday School class. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert A. and Betty Keener of Knoxville, TN; nephews, John A. and Willa Porter of Palm Beach, FL, Jeffrey and Marty Coffee, Robert and Kathy Keener, both of Knoxville, TN, Frank E. (Bubba), III and Norma Keener, of Alaska, James and Peggy Brodnax of Duluth, GA, William and Cheryl Brodnax of Atlanta, GA; nieces, Linda Porter of Apex, NC, Connie Porter of Palm Beach, FL, Jane Myers of Knoxville, TN, Ann and John Corum of Knoxville, TN, Gay and Henk Soutekouw of St. Eustatia, Fran and Henry Frantz of Decatur, GA, Beth and William Clarke of Jacksonville, FL; and several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Decatur with Dr. Peter Rhea Jones and Rev. Julie Pennington-Russell officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Knoxville, TN at 4:00 P.M. The family will receive friends Monday, April 20th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons. (404) 292-1551.
