Frances Sara Poole

She had a sweet, sweet spirit and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her husband, William L. Poole, and daughter, Diane Martin, preceded her in death. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Decatur. She was a devout Christian and was a member of Columbia Drive Baptist Church, Decatur, where she was an active member of the church and the "Forever Young" Sunday School Class. She later moved her membership to Decatur First Baptist Church. Her greatest joys were sharing her cooking talents and family times together. She will be remembered for her loving care and concern for others. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Hamrick (Robbie), Nancy Bennett (Wayne), Darlene Bozard; son, Benny Poole (Carolyn); ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; brother, Alton Bruce; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service to celebrate her SPECIAL life with loved ones and friends will be held in the Chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons, 2773 North Decatur Rd., Decatur, GA, on Saturday, August 13th, at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Decatur First Baptist Church in Decatur or a charity of your choice.
