Frances Thompson Pound

Frances Thompson Pound, born December 19, 1919 to Clarence Augustus and Mary Mullins Thompson in Columbus, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2012 at the age of 92. She was much loved by all of her family and dear to all who knew her. Frances was pre-deceased by her beloved Bob, friend, boyfriend, husband and life partner in all things for more than 72 years. Her siblings, Albert, Roscoe, and Vernelle also passed away before her. Frances is survived by her loving daughters and their families; Bonnie Pound Vigil, and Allan, Becky Pound Bocian and Jim, and Barbara Pound. She leaves precious grand and great-grand children, Dawn Vigil, Michael Vigil, wife Kristy and daughters Natalie, Molly, and Emme, Ashley Martin and husband Whit, and Katie Atcheson, husband Adam and son Nolen who all loved their Fefe so much. Frances will also be missed by her dear nieces and nephews and many friends. There will be a small family memorial service, Rev. Jim Bocian officiating, and burial will be in the family plot in Columbus, GA. Frances' daughters wish to thank the staff of Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody for their loving care of their mother for the last few years and Altus House hospice for gentle end of life care.
