Frank Kratky, Jr.
1941-2024
Frank Kratky, Jr. passed peacefully in his sleep at home in Kendall, Wisconsin, on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Frank was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 11, 1941, the oldest of four sons. At eighteen, he joined the United States Marine Corps and proudly served during the Vietnam conflict. After his successful tour of duty, Frank returned home and began work for the city of Chicago as an iron worker alongside his father. His desire to be in law enforcement led him to his next job as a railroad detective. During this phase of his life, he met the woman of his dreams, Constance (Marianes) Kratky, to whom he was married for forty-seven years.
Frank and Connie made their home in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they lived until her passing on April 27, 2024. Frank then moved to Wisconsin, living with his brother and sister-in-law.
Frank is survived by his brother and sister-in-law David and Susan (Hurley) Kratky of Kendall, Wisconsin; brother Henry J. Kratky of Armstrong Creek, Wisconsin; brother- and sister-in-law William (Bill) and Audrey (May) Marianes of Gainesville, Georgia; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members. Frank is also mourned by his grandson from his first marriage, Christopher L. Kratky of Baraboo, Wisconsin, with whom he remained close. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Connie, his parents, Frank and Josephine (Stawiarski) Kratky, and his youngest brother, Vincent E. Kratky.
Frank was a proud American who was well-loved by family and friends and will be truly missed. As Frank's temporal earthly physical trials end, he is reunited in the kingdom eternal with the one he loved most, his loving wife Connie. May God hold him in the palm of His hand until we meet again.
