Franklin Nix

Franklin Wells Nix, age 86, a longtime reporter for the Atlanta Journal, died peacefully at his Decatur residence on November 4th, 2004, from a long illness with cancer. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Dorothy Patterson Nix; by his daughter, Kathryn Nix; three sons and daughters-in-law, Franklin R. and Gayle Nix, William R. and Dorothy Nix, and James J. and Pamela Nix, all residents of the Atlanta area. Grandsons surviving are Ross, Justin, Charles, David and Alexander Nix.  A memorial service will be held Tuesday morning, November 9th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Northlake Church of Christ, located at 1625 Cooledge Road, Tucker, Georgia (770) 414-8717. Mr. Joe Glenn will officiate.
