Franklin Venable Byrd

Frank V. Byrd, age 90, of Atlanta passed away on October 17, 2018. Frank was a graduate of Georgia State University and a proud member of Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. He was President of his Junior and Senior Class at Georgia State University as well as President of the Kappa Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi. He was named Outstanding Senior Student and featured in Who's Who of American Colleges and Universities. Frank received a B.B.A. in Transportation and Public Utilities in 1960 from Georgia State University and went on to become the Area Sales Manager for the Frisco and BN Railroads.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Jeanne; daughters, Margaret and Laura; granddaughters, Taylor, Lindsey and Katie; nieces Margaret Stewart (Don) and Linda Mulla (Jim); and many more loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018, at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home. Private interment will be held at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
