Fred P. King

Mr. Fred Parks King of Decatur died Saturday, January 12, 2008. He was owner of the Dekalb White Print Company in Decatur. Mr. King was a member of Stone Mountain First Baptist Church, and a member of the Stone Mountain Masonic Lodge. He served his country in the U. S. Army from 1957 to 1959 and again from 1961 to 1962. Mr. King was Past Commander of Stone Mountain V.F.W, Post 5727. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carole Harbin King; son, Parks F. King of Bethlehem; daughter, Kate M. King of Phoenix, AZ; grandson, Dawson P. King of Bethlehem; mother, Isla Allen King; sisters, Marilyn Crowe, and Judy King, all of Stone Mountain; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, January 16th, in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Dan Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
