Gary Dean Bush

Gary Dean Bush, 58, of Decatur, died June 28, 2011. A native of Atlanta, Mr. Bush was a 1972 graduate of Briarcliff High School. He proudly served our country during the 1970's in the U. S. Navy and was a faithful member of American Legion Post 66 in Avondale Estates, where he was awarded Legionnaire of the Year for 2011. He was the longtime owner of Gary Bush Plumbing Company in Decatur. Mr. Bush was preceded in death by his father, George F. Bush, and his brother, Frank Bush. He is survived by his wife Martha "Micki" Bush; sons, Frank Bush of Pensacola FL and Brandon S. and Morwen Bush of Columbus; Grandchildren, McCall and Bettie; mother, Louise Bush Hester of Lawrenceville; step-daughter, Jenna Jones of Lilburn; brother, Don and Yvonne Bush of Newnan; sister, Winola and Alton Swinks of Danielsville; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 2, 2011, in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons with Rev. Fred Pitts officiating. Interment with military honors, Floral Hills Memory Gardens. For those desiring, a contribution in honor of Gary Bush can be made to the America Cancer Society. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday and Friday at A. S. Turner and Sons.
