George Burdett

January 26, 1944 — September 10, 2008

Mr. George Burdett, 64, of Decatur died Wednesday, September 10, 2008. He was a 1962 graduate of AvondaleHigh School and a graduate of the first class of DeKalb Tech in 1964. Mr. Burdett served his country in the U. S. Army. He retired as an audio-visual technician from the DeKalb County School System with 35 years of service. Mr. Burdett is survived by his mother, Daisy Burdett of Decatur; sister, Nancy Burdett of Tucker; aunt Bertha Shelfer of Tucker; several cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 13^th at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Tim Owens officiating. Interment, MelwoodCemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
