Mr. George Candler Andrews, 81, of Tucker, GA, died Friday, July 2, 2010. He served his country in the U. S. Army’s 82nd Airborne. He worked as a field office manager for over 50 years with Latex Construction Company. Mr. Andrews was a former member of Inman Park Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a true friend to all who knew him. Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his sons, George Scott Andrews and James Candler “Tripp” Andrews. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Marjorie Clark Andrews; daughters and son-in-law, Dawn and Tony Wages of Loganville, Holly Andrews of Talladega, AL; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Joyce Andrews of Lilburn; five grandchildren, Megan, Nikki, Christy, Joshua and Britney; great granddaughter, Olivia; sister, Marion Lyon of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 5th at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
