Mr. George P. Nance of Atlanta died Sunday, June 26, 2005. He was born and raised in Due West, SC, the youngest of six children. He was a veteran of World War II having enlisted in the Army. Mr. Nance settled in Atlanta in the late 40?s; and owned and worked most of his life for Metal Fabricators, Inc. He was an avid bridge player and loved dancing. He was preceded in death by his partner of 48 years, James L. Knight. He is survived by nephews, Richard Campbell in SC, and Harold Nance of Ohio; niece, Joan Wright of SC; other great nieces and nephews; and friends and neighbors, who cared for Jimmy and George throughout many years. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28th in the Chapel of the Pines at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Rev. Mary Jane Cornell officiating.
