Geraldine Mckinney Baker

September 13, 1918 — August 28, 2004

Mrs. Geraldine McKinney Baker of Atlanta died Saturday, August 28, 2004.  She was the widow of Thomas Hastings Baker, art director of the Southern Baptist Mission Board. She was a member of Johns Creek Baptist Church and a former member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was with the Singles ministry.  She was employed with the Internal Revenue Service as a tax examiner and worked at Rich?s in retail sales. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Zeller & Jerry Zeller of Jasper, GA, Bette Baker-Simmons & Rich Baker-Simmons of Cumming, GA, Bonnie Baker Isadoost & Shahin Isadoost of Lawrenceville, GA; six grandchildren, Warren Jackson III, Lore Jackson-Lee, Mark Reeves, Michael Reeves, Erik Reeves, Sadek Bazaraa; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Neva Goodman of Greensboro, N.C.; nieces, Peggy Panagrossi and Jackie Cain; great nieces, Debbie Rubadou, Diane Mitchell; great great nieces, Candice Mitchell, Christy Smith; great great great nephew, Jarrett Smith ; nephews, Johnny, Richard, and Robert Goodman.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at Johns Creek Baptist Church chapel with Dr. Bill Self officiating.  Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kingsbridge Retirement Community, Atlanta, GA or Crystal Cathedral Ministries, 12141 Lewis St., Garden Grove, CA  92840 (714) 971-4000.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Monday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
