Gertrude Ely

Mrs. Gertrude Ely of Decatur died Tuesday September 7, 2004. Mrs. Ely worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 25 years, retiring in 1984. She lived in the Decatur area for 53 years. She is survivrd by four children, Michael Ely, Alpharetta, GA, Colleen Miller, Denver, CO, Pam Medlock, Atlanta, GA, Karen Kersey, Pensacola, FL; brother, Rubin Hoemann, Denver, CO; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, September, 10, 2004, at Living Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. David Hardy will officiate. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the New Building Fund of Living Grace Lutheran Church, 2566 Briarcliff Road, N. E. Atlanta GA, 30329. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P. M. Thursday evening at A. S. Turner & Sons.
