Gladys Durden Thompson

Gladys Durden Thompson, 88, of Scottdale, GA died Tuesday, September 18, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Thompson; son & daughter-in-law; Wallace & Betty Thompson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Earnest Hammons of Conyers, son and daughter-in-law, Herman and Ann Thompson of Lawrenceville; brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Virginia Durden of Covington; grandchildren, Jill Thompson of Snellville, Glenn Thompson of Loganville, Beth Wright of Loganville, David Hammons of Covington, Matt Hammons of Union Point, Tommy Thompson of Lawrenceville and Joseph Thompson of Lawrenceville. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren and beloved friend, Joyce Garmon of Decatur. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Scottdale. Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Dewey Childers officiating. Interment will be at Harmony Baptist Churchyard, Monroe. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday evening at A.S. Turner and Sons.
