July 16, 1927 - November 15, 2023

Gladys Burney passed away peacefully on November 15th when God reached down, took her hand and led her to heaven.

Gladys was born on July 16, 1927 in DeKalb County, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents Scott and Willie Wilkins, her siblings Olin Burney, Doc Burney and Pauline Mills and her grandson, Michael Burney. Gladys is survived by her sons, Barry (Connie) Burney of Johns Creek and Randy (JoAnn) Burney of Dunwoody, her grandchildren Candace, Megan and Mindy as well as her great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that she loved dearly.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Golden Living Center/Briarwood for their compassionate care of Gladys for the past decade. A service is not planned at this time.
