Glenford Philip Antonio Moguel

August 9, 1961 — January 25, 2024

Glenford Philip Antonio Moguel, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on January 25, 2024. He was born on August 9, 1961, in Belize City, Belize. Glen will be remembered for his loving nature, his unwavering dedication to his family, and his deep faith in Jehovah.

Glen graduated from St. Michaels College in Belize City before furthering his education at New York Technical College, where he earned an associate degree. He was a man of intelligence and wit, known for his quick banter among his loved ones.

In 1983, Glen's life took a beautiful turn when he met Arlene, the love of his life. Arlene's request for him to complete her questionnaire before dating her caught his attention, and he soon realized that she was unlike any woman he had ever encountered. Glen's selflessness and devotion were evident when he quit his job as a Math teacher to support Arlene after she lost her grandmother. This act of love solidified their bond, and they were married in 1985.

Glen was a loving and devoted husband to Arlene, affectionately calling her his "butterfly" due to her vibrant and social nature. He respected and cherished her for who she was, never trying to restrict her or dampen her fire. Glen trusted Arlene's judgment and knew that she would always do what was best for their family.

As a father, Glen knew no limits when it came to providing for his children. He was a hard worker who would do whatever it took to ensure that his family had everything they needed. Glen and Arlene shared the responsibilities of raising their children, often passing the baton back and forth. From doing the girls' hair to cooking dinner and transporting the kids to school, Glen always got it done. He set an example for his children on how to love and respect a woman, doting on Arlene with hugs and kisses.

In 1997, Glen made the decision to serve Jehovah and dedicated his life through water baptism. His association with Jehovah's people brought him even closer to his family and strengthened their bond. They attended meetings together, studied together, and he infused Bible principles into his decision-making as a parent. Glen's deep thinking and insights into scriptures enriched the family's spiritual discussions, which Arlene will greatly miss.

Illness entered Glen's life, and he fought valiantly to preserve his life. However, as it became evident that this was a battle he might not win, he turned to his faith in Jehovah. The promise of a paradise earth became real to him, and he found peace in knowing that this life is not the end. Despite his prognosis, Glen held onto the promises of Jehovah and wished for his children and grandchildren to grow up to be righteous, fair, and confident individuals.

Glenford Philip Antonio Moguel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His loving nature, selflessness, and unwavering faith in Jehovah will forever be remembered.

Glen is survived by his wife, Arlene Moguel, children: Sonja, Selena, Shavonne and Shaphan; his mother, Lynda Moguel, siblings Juanita Bennett Moguel, Andrea Moguel, Luana Moguel Sosa, Darrell Moguel, Christopher Moguel, Uncles: Arlen Wright and Rodney Moguel; Aunts Melba Usher and Anne Hulse; and grandchildren: Ailani Moguel, A'Layah Moguel, Breon Moguel and Ariana Graves; and a host of friends and family.
