Glenn D. Kunce

September 11, 1929 — July 2, 2016

Glenn Kunce, recently of Arbor Terrace in Decatur, was born in Zanesville, Ohio, to Joe and Helen Kunc on September 11, 1929. He graduated from South Zanesville High School in 1947, worked for Citizen's National Bank for 2 years. He then graduated from Ohio University in 1953 with a BFA degree with a major in photography. He served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force at Hunter Air Force Base in Savannah, Georgia, as a navigator on KC97 (aerial refueling airplane) refueling B47 aircraft. He spent time in North Africa at Ben Guerir and Sidi Slimane. After release from the Air Force, he spent 6 months at Ohio Bell Telephone and then worked for 35 years as a photographer with the Atlanta Public Schools. He was a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon. At one time he served on the board of Life Enrichment. He is survived by a daughter, Shirley Sperry of Davis, California, and son, Jesse, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. The body will be cremated and interred at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
