Gloria Ann Maxwell

Gloria Ann Wright Maxwell, 81, of Tucker, beloved wife and mother, passed away on December 27, 2015. Born September 29, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Myrtis Wright. Gloria married her high school sweetheart and devoted her life to her family and enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family. She assisted her husband, Alton, in any and all endeavors, including helping with his photography business, running a day care center and managing a restaurant. She never tired of helping others and never failed to offer encouragement.

She is survived by her husband of 62 1/2 years, Alton Maxwell; two sons, Mike Maxwell and Mark Maxwell and his wife, Janis; daughter, Cheryl Ann Norman and her husband, Lane; grandchildren, Alicia Campbell, Rush Maxwell, Morgan Maxwell, and Brooks Maxwell; great grandchildren, Lydia and Georgia Campbell; sisters, Anita, Lila, Marilyn, Teresa, and Denise; and many more loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Wright.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 30, at A.S. Turner & Sons. Services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, December 31, in the Chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home with interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076.
