Gloria Elaine Walcott

Gloria Elaine Walcott, age 89 of Lithonia, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Born October 1, 1927 in Essequibo, Guyana she was the daughter of the late Eldred C. and Hilda (Benjamin) Brandon.

Mrs. Walcott is survived by her daughters, Pat Seymour and Dr. Sherry Hamilton; sisters, Joan Mitchell, Elesdane Brandon, Mignon Gunness and Gwendolyn Williams; brother, Clarence Brandon; grandchildren, Denicia Seymour, Deneice Seymour Smith, Tamsin Hamilton, Marlon Hamilton, Mark Hamilton, Rushell Walcott and Rayon Walcott; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Walcott; son, Montgomery Walcott; brothers, John and Charles Brandon; and her sisters, Estelle and Veronica Brandon.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Peace Baptist Church, 4000 Covington Highway, Decatur, GA 30032. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
