Grace C. Edwards

Mrs. Grace C. Edwards, age 95, Sandtown Road, Marietta, formerly of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011. She was born March 16, 1916 in Marion County, Alabama to the late James Reese Coalson and Lula Johnson Coalson. Mrs. Edwards retired from Regenstein's, a ladies' apparel store, after having spent most of her working life there. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O. Marshall Edwards as well as four brothers and six sisters. Survivors include nieces, Nancy Brown Wilson, Carrollton; Gayle Nixon, Goodyear, AZ; Brenda Graham, Savannah; and Helen Pinion, Russellville, AL; nephews, Tony Coalson, Anniston, AL; Tommy Coalson, Marietta; and Charles Wilson, Tampa, FL; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the Chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons, Decatur. Interment will follow at Decatur City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at A. S. Turner and Sons.
