Gregory George Kopanezos

Mr. Gregory Kopanezos, 79, of Atlanta died on Monday August 29, 2011. He was born in Kalymnos, Greece in 1932, and has been a resident of Atlanta since 1961 and owner of Gregory's Snack Bar located in midtown. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary, of 31 years of marriage, and is survived by his son, George Kopanezos, daughters; Virginia and her husband, Charlie Burland, Evelyn and her husband, Dr. John L. Michaelos, Irene and her husband, Mark Norberg. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 3, 2011 at 10:00 AM at The Greek Cathedral of the Annunication, with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday September 2, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at A.S. Turner and Sons.
