Guy William Daves

Guy William Daves, 98, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, November 10. Born August 31, 1917, Canton, NC, he was the son of the late Richmond and Bernice Silver Daves. Guy enjoyed photography and furniture making. In January 1943, Guy volunteered to serve our country in the Army Air Corps where he was stationed in London, England.

He survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ruby Nell Daves; son, Jim Daves and his wife, Mary-Jo; daughter, Anne Lee and her husband, Mike; granddaughters, Whitney Motes and her husband, Andrew, Christina Daves, and Caroline Daves; grandsons, Adam and William Lee; great granddaughter, Sophia Motes; and many more loving family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 14, with a reception to follow at Decatur First United Methodist Church, 300 E Ponce de Leon Ave Decatur, GA 30030.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Decatur First United Methodist Church.
