Gwendolyn Sue Owen

Gwendolyn Sue Owen, 76, of Atlanta, died February 27, 2016. A native of Decatur, AL, Mrs. Owen was the daughter of the late Henry Lee and Ruby Irene Crow Shadrick. She was a retired Nursing Tech who had been employed by Parkway Hospital and was a member of Clearview Baptist Church in Douglasville.  She is survived by husband Carl Owen, 3 children Samantha Nicholson, Sharon Kirby, and Henry (Hank) Kirby, 3 grandchildren Jessica Anglin, Issac Nicholson, and Jasen Nicholson, and 6 great-grandchildren Chasity Gouge, Christina Epley, Courtney Nicholson, Chelsey Anglin, Brandon Nicholson, and Ashley Nicholson. She is also survived by her sister Wanda Faye Taylor and several nieces and nephews.She was also proceed in death by her brother Billy Don Shadrick. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Clearview Baptist Church 4456 Dodson Dr, Douglasville, GA 30134. Rev. Terry Lyons officiating and Tanya Bingham singing. A. S.
