Hannah Marie Hubbard

Hannah Marie Hubbard passed away dreaming at the age of 29 in the early hours of February 18, 2023 in her home shared with her maternal grandmother, Carolyn McDowell, at Wesley Woods Towers.

From the day after she was born, until the day she entered into her heavenly home, she was continuously faced with health troubles and chronic illnesses. At a young age she was given a life expectancy of 15 years, due to her hypo-plastic left heart syndrome and cerebral palsy diagnoses, and she beat the odds year after year. She was incredibly resilient through all of the tough days, and for her, there was never a day that was not a tough one. A

To know Hannah was to truly love her. From family to friends, to even the seemingly small encounters with strangers, everyone adored her charismatic personality. She was extremely sweet with a side of sass. Because of the cerebral palsy, she was always child-like at heart, and mind. Her innocence was a huge blessing to her and gave her the ability to live a life full of love. She loved people and people loved her right back.

Hannah was preceded in death by her father and mother William & Debra Hubbard and both of her grandfathers, Henry McDowell and William Hubbard.

Though her life on Earth was not an easy one, Hannah shined a bright light in the world she lived. We find comfort that her mind and body is restored to its full health and potential, something she never experienced here. And she is dancing and running on the streets of gold.

Hannah's memory will be forever cherished by her sister Grace Hubbard Shewbridge (Daniel); brother Jacob Hubbard; grandmothers Carolyn McDowell and Joyce Hubbard; aunt Shari McDowell who was also her legal guardian in her last years. She will missed by many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on March 30th at 2:00 pm, at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church. Please help us celebrate Hannah’s life on her “golden birthday”, she would have turned 30 on the 30th.
