Harold Hurtado Biggs

Harold Hurtado Biggs, 84, of Avondale Estates passed away December 8, 2013. Born in Chile to parents Harold and Elena Biggs, he was the oldest of four siblings. While studying at Columbia University in New York he met his wife Sheila Huntington of Great Britain. Married for sixty years, they lived in New York, Chile and eventually moved to Georgia to be closer to their only daughter. He was a CPA for ITT for more than thirty years. A member of St. Thomas More Church in Decatur for more than twenty five years, Harold served the church in many capacities. Survivors include wife Sheila, siblings Gerald and Carmen, daughter Kate B. Underwood, son-in-law Gerald B. Jimeno, grandsons Brendan and Sean Underwood and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces in Chile. The Family will receive friends at A.S. Turner and Sons on Wednesday, December 11 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 12 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Church, 636 W Ponce De Leon Ave. Decatur, Ga. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Plymouth Harbor Day Program for Adults.
