Harold Smith Williams

. Harold Smith Williams, 97, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014. He was born in Atlanta to Novia and Nettie Williams. Harold graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor's Degree in textile engineering. He went on to retire from U.S. Civil Service and was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Verla Dawkins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday February 11th in the chapel of A.S. Turner and Sons with Pastor Greg Howell and Rev. Nathan Bednor officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Metropolitan Baptist Church or to The American Cancer Society. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
