Harriet Johns

Harriet Johns passed away on July 26, 2007, in Decatur, GA, the same town where she was born on May 30, 1921. She was the third daughter and sixth child born to Mary and Guy Hudson. Married to Frank Johns in 1942, they enjoyed 59 years of marriage until his death in 2001. While supporting her husband's career, they made ten moves, including two to a foreign country, and after he retired, they were fortunate to be able to travel the world. Together, they raised four children: Bill Johns of Marietta, GA; Carol Hodges, of San Antonio, TX; Dave Johns of Decatur, GA; and Rob Johns of Alpharetta, GA. After their retirement in Stone Mountain, GA, they happily entertained their 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 4:00 Sunday, July 29, 2007, in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons, 2773 N. Decatur Rd., Decatur, GA. 404-292-1551. Dr. Jay Hodges will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
