Harriette Elizabeth Keen Jacobs age 53, born in Atlanta Georgia on the twenty-fourth of May in 1961. Harriette fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, October Tenth 2014 at her southern home in Warrenton, Georgia. She attended and graduated West Rome High School, Class of 1979 and attended Jacksonville State University. While attending Jacksonville State, Harriette was a member of the marching ballerinas and she performed with pride at numerous events. She was a loving Mother of two boys and many many "adopted" children. Harriette dedicated her adult life to raising and educating her sons in the Orthodox Church and academically through homeschooling.
Harriette loved the South, her Southern heritage, her family and its legacy. A faithful Orthodox Christian, strong Mother, passionate writer, a true southern belle, student and southern gal. Every accomplishment that her Sons achieve will now reflect her hard work, love and dedication to them. She is survived by her Sons, Alexander Jacobs, Samuel Jacobs, and Jonathan Jacobs, Mother Mary Jane Madden, Step Father Larry Madden, Husband John Alan Jacobs, Honorary Sisters Dawn Jacobs, Kim Watson, Debbie Gibbs, Carol Rutledge, Becky Wiggins, Lee Anne Destito, Patricia Briscoe, Eleni Kountakis, and Mari Mars.
Her Funeral service will take place on Saturday, October eighteenth, at 11:00am at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Atlanta 2500 Clairmont Road NE Atlanta, GA 30029
Pallbearers are Alexander Jacobs, Samuel Jacobs, Jonathan Jacobs, Michael Casievich, Jamie Coggins, Ryan McDonald, Timothy Thompson, Simon McCullough, and Aaron Hanson.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dawn Jacobs, Patricia Briscoe, Kim Watson, Debbie Gibbs, Carol Rutledge, Lee Anne Destito, and Becky Wiggins.

A celebration of life in remembrance of Harriette Keen Jacobs will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm in Rome, Georgia. Friends and loved ones alike are welcomed and encouraged to attend. The location and details on the event are TBA. Her Visitation will be on Friday, October seventeenth, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033
