Harrison Aubrey Towns

Mr. Harrison A. "Buddy" Towns, age 80, of Lilburn died Friday, November 18, 2005.  A native of Scottdale, GA, he was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy.  Mr. Towns was an Elder Emeritus of Ingleside Presbyterian Church.  He officiated at High School football, baseball and basketball games for 37 years.  He is survived by his wife, Sue Towns of Lilburn; children, Steve Towns of Atlanta, Sherri Ferris of New Zealand, Patti Ferris of Snellville, Philip Ferris of Lilburn; three grandchildren, Nikki Slocum of Tampa, FL, Stephanie White and Emily White, both of Snellville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21st at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.  Rev. Bill Bratley and Rev. Kennedy Smart will officiate. Interment Melwood Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Larry Towns, Jed Blackwell, Mike Watkins, Jerry Weatherford, Mac Dorton, and Donald Wallace. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions to Ingleside Presbyterian Church, 1001 Old Snellville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA  30044. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
